Words displayed are: CONGRATULATIONS Mrs. Maggio September Gopher Educator of the Month GOPHER EDUCATOR OF THE MONTH Mrs. Maggio is one of the most "available" supporters of anything Stone- whether it is a student in need, a teacher, or a parent, she goes out of her way to help all of us. If Issy isn't available, she is quick to answer the call and troubleshoot with me. I called her after hours to find out if certain novels were "school appropriate" so I could get them donated to the PBIS store. She spent quite a bit of time looking the book up and letting me know if they were a "go" for Stone students. She is also the first to problem-solve challenges for presenting information to our students, offer suggestions and even offer to do the presentations for the kids. Most importantly, she does all of this with a smile on her face and willingness that doesn't make us feel unworthy of the help.

On Saturday 9/20 Stone Magnet Middle students and families gathered in efforts to encourage conservation efforts and clean up our local beaches. We were supported in kind by Harmony High School's Ocean Club with the same spirit of environmental protection. With over 54 volunteers, 6 different beach locations, Stone Magnet Middle collected over 112 lbs. of trash from our shores. (We did not collect or weigh HHS collections).
